It rained today, so we did not go out to the Glunk site, instead we washed the artifacts that we recovered during our excavation yesterday. While we were washing artifacts, I turned on a documentary called "Ancient Aliens Debunked". This documentary was both entertaining and informative because it debunked many of the outrageous claims that the show "Ancient Aliens" presents as facts. The author and producer of the documentary, Chris White, not only used pictorial evidence to refute the declarations made by Ancient Aliens, but also logic, which was presented in an almost satirical tone.
I thought that washing the artifacts that I had personally excavated was much more enjoyable than washing what someone else had dug up because I felt more in touch with more of the archaeological process. After we finished washing all of the artifacts that we had excavated yesterday, we cleaned up our work station in Bell Lounge and Robin Van Auken released us for the rest of the day.
